When adding the printer to your personal machine, please print to it using either IPP or LPR.  The IPP printer address would look like: http://print.ccs.neu.edu:631/printers/<printer_name> or ipp://print.ccs.neu.edu/printers/<printer_name> .

Adding WVH 102 printers in Ubuntu:

Follow the Mac instructions for adding an IPP based printer.

*Snip* Thanks for the Submission Tim, but SMB should never be used for accessing our printers. — ChrisN

Since these printers aren’t available off the CCS network, can we post a tutorial for printing through an SSH tunnel?

While we appreciate the suggestion, print jobs should not be sent to our public printers if you are not physically in the building.

Hi Nathan-
We intentionally do not provide access to these printers from off-network to prevent abuse (something we’ve dealt with in the past). I do not think we will be providing instructions for how to circumvent that since any printing should be done from a machine on our network. If you have a special case where this isn’t the case, feel free to drop by 310WVH and we can discuss it.
